I first instructed Paul Dodd in 1993 to advise on and rationalise my personal pension plans and savings/investment affairs.
I have been very pleased with the service and am conscious that if required Paul will make himself available (and has done so) to discuss fresh circumstances as they arise.
I am regularly updated regarding the pension funds and other savings plans, how they are performing etc and Paul is very proactive in advising of any recommended changes to take account of changes in the performance etc of the funds and investments.
Paul consciously seeks to build a long-term relationship with his clients to understand their circumstances and requirements and on occasion I have been able to discuss matter not directly related to the pensions and investments and received solid guidance and advice.
Previously I had engaged the services of pension plan/investment advisers from my bank and became aware that they did not appear to take a personal interest in the performance of the various investments etc which they had recommended. They also seemed to be constrained so that they could only use the financial products of their organisation. When I did arrange to meet a financial adviser it seemed to be a different person each time (owing to job changes within this large organisation) and this lack of consistency did not seem to lead to a proper understanding of my financial requirements at an individual level.
I much appreciate dealing with one person on a consistent basis who has an understanding of my individual pension and investment needs.
I am now approaching retirement and will certainly seek Paul's guidance in dealing with my pension income needs.
